About the Event
Aboriginal perspectives in early childhood
There is an overwhelming desire to integrate aboriginal perspectives into the educational program, however at times this can create a challenge as people either don’t know where to start, how to start or are fearful of offending. Whilst these concerns are real, action must begin somewhere and in doing so an integration of reflective practice so to ensure that any tokenism is eliminated. This presentation comes not from a position of ’truth’ but rather a story of how I began this journey, what practical things i did and how these were evaluated as part of my practice.
