About the Event

Respectful care is only fair

People, places and things make up the entire learning context for young children from birth to five years of age.

  • How do people show respect for children?
  • What kind of play spaces are respectful spaces for children?
  • What are the things available to children within the environment and how do they demonstrate respect for the child and the environment?

Toni and Robin will set the stage for learning and thinking respectfully when caring for children; by sharing simple examples of respectful interactions with children, images and theory behind the design of the physical environment, and how to select the best natural, open-ended and authentic toys and objects for optimal exploration and learning opportunities.
